ECHO PARK — Or was it a fake crocodile? Whatever it was, eventually two workers pulled the thing out of the lake this morning, said Madalyn Choate-Rofer.

The guys who fished out the alligator/crocodile told Choate-Rofer that the interior is made from 5-gallon water bottles. “It also has tennis-ball eyes,” she said.

No word on where the Echo Park Lake creature ended up.

  1. To answer the caption question, fake alligators have a blunter U-shaped snout, while fake croc snouts have a more pointed V-shape. From the photo I’d say fake alligator.

  2. It’s “Alligator 2” all over again – brilliant!

  3. Wait A Minute...

They should (illegally) take it to the LA Zoo like they did when the unfairly incarcerated Reggie the Alligator and Maria the Goose.
