  • The westbound 60 Freeway in East Los Angeles was tied up this morning after a big-rig truck overturned as part of a collision involving six vehicles. CBS2
  • AirbnB Battles: City Attorney Mike Feuer filed  criminal charge as well as civil lawsuits against four apartment owners over short-term rentals. It’s the first time the City Attorney has pursued a criminal case over a landlord renting apartments on AirBnb after getting rid of the long-term tenants, according to the L.A. Times. In the meantime, Airbnb operators and their supporters say they have sent more than 7,000 emails to City Council members and Planning Commission member in opposition of proposed regulations.
  • Representatives for developers, billboard companies and other interests spent $13.5 million to lobby city officials during the first three months of this year. That may seem like a lot of money but it is not a quarterly record. KPCC
