  • Police arrested a 34-year-old woman in connection with Sunday night’s crash at a Boyle Heights taco stand that left one 50-year-old man dead and several others injured. Police said that the woman was driving under the influence of alcohol and had fallen asleep at the wheel when she crashed into persons and parked vehicles near the taco stand in the 300 block of S. Clarence Street at about 9:25 pm. CBS2
  • One person was killed after a vehicle hit the back of a big-rig truck traveling on the northbound 5 Freeway at the 10 Freeway in Boyle Heights early this morning. All northbound 5 traffic lanes were closed and traffic diverted to surface streets following the 4 a.m. collision. ABC7

  1. Anyone know what was happening in Echo Park for about two hours, 7-9 pmish, Sunday evening? Helicopter, police, etc. Went on and on. ….
