  • An investigation by the U.S Department of Education determined that Occidental College did not for the most part violate federal civil rights laws. But it did find the Eagle Rock college slow to handle some complaints of sexual misconduct and retaliation.  L.A. Times
  • Police arrested a former teacher’s assistant at the Miguel Contreras Learning Complex for inappropriately touching a female student and making sexual comments. Additional students at the school south of Echo Park have also made similar allegations, prompting the LAPD to look for more potential victims. L.A. Times
