Lincoln Heights parking protest; Silver Lake holds LGBT town hall on Orlando shooting

  • Lincoln Heights residents protested a shortage of street parking  caused by the construction of hundreds of apartments and condos that have been built in recent years near the neighborhood’s Gold Line station. Residents blame the city for failing to provide sufficient parking. First District Councilman Gil Cedillo said permit parking might help residents but one protester said citizens should not have to pay for those permits. ABC 7
  • The Silver Lake Neighborhood Council will host an LGBT Town Hall to discuss the recent Orlando shootings.  Los Feliz Ledger
