Northeast Division police station in Glassell Park evacuated [updated]


GLASSELL PARK — The LAPD’s  Northeast Division station on San Fernando Road at Treadwell Street has been evacuated after a suspicious package was reported around 8 a.m., according to a police spokesperson. NBC LA reports that a bomb squad was enroute.

Update: Capt. Arturo Sandoval said the suspicious package turned out to be an abandoned ice chest.
