MORNING REPORT: A woman was struck by a Gold Line train Friday night in Boyle Heights as she tried to take a picture of the train in the 1100 block of E. 1st Street. The woman was taken to a hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries .... MORNING REPORT: Police fatally shot a man armed in Boyle Heights Thursday night following a brief pursuit of a stolen vehicle .... Actor and activist George Takei, who played Mr. Sulu on the original Star Trek, created an anti-Trump video in Spanish in which he recalls when his family was removed from their Boyle Heights home during World II and sent to internment camps with other people of Japanese descent ....
