Vehicle bursts into flame after Silver Lake crash

SILVER LAKE — One person was injured after a vehicle crashed and burst into flames early this morning near Glendale Boulevard and Baxter Street.

A video of the fire posted on YouTube shows the vehicle in flames next to the playground of St. Teresa of Avila school shortly after midnight

One person was transported to a hospital for medical treatment, according to L.A. Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott.

Lt. Melody Hainline with the LAPD Central Traffic Bureau said the victim’s injuries were not life threatening. No further details were available.

    • Just FYI, the story doesn’t say no one was seriously hurt. It simply says the injuries for which the person was hospitalized are not life threatening. That doesn’t mean they are not serious. The story doesn’t even say the person was treated and released, so that person might still be in the hospital.The story really says nearly nothing other than that there was an accident and someone went to some unknown hospital.
