  • Councilman David Ryu obtained an “emergency” historical designation to temporarily prevent demolition of the Los Feliz bungalow where Walt Disney launched his first studio in the garage of the Kingswell Avenue home. The home was owned by Disney’s uncle, who rented the garage, referred to as “the first Disney Studio,” to his nepehew in the early 1920s.
