Man fatally shot outside East L.A. party


EAST LOS ANGELES –– A man was fatally shot early this morning after he was told to leave the scene of a large party in the 200 block of north Alma Avenue, according to a preliminary report by the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.

Witnesses said that the victim, described as a male Latino, was talking to a group of persons outside of the party. “The individuals were telling the victim to leave at which time several gunshots were fired at the victim striking him,” said a statement issued by the LASD.

Deputies were called to the scene at about 3:28 a.m. and found the victim in the middle of the street with gunshot wounds. He was declared dead at the scene.

The suspect, described as a male Latino who is possibly in his 20s remains at large.
