  • Police are asking for the public’s help to find the suspects involved in the fatal shooting of  25-year-old Raul Ceja, Jr. on Friday, July 22, in the 900 block of Mott Street in Boyle Heights. LAPD
  • Mollie Lowery, a homeless advocate who lived in Highland Park, has died at the age of 70.  She was the founder of Los Angeles Men’s Place, now known as LAMP Community, to serve the mentally ill on Skid Row. L.A. Times
  • The motorist who died on Monday in a traffic collision on the southbound 2 Freeway at San Fernando Road has been identified as Ricardo Serrano-Rodrigues. Daily News
  • The city will be giving away pieces of the demolished Sixth Street Bridge – including a certificate of authenticity – during Rock Day LA.  Facebook
  • An LADWP vehicle reportedly struck a pedestrian near the 1300 block of Killarney Avenue in the Mount Washington area on Tuesday morning. Paramedics were summoned to the scene and evaluated the pedestrian but no injuries were reported, according to an agency spokeswoman.
  • U.S. Representative Adam Schiff, whose congressional district includes Atwater Village, Echo Park, Silver Lake, is scheduled to address the Democratic National Convention tonight.
