  • The housing authority has reduced the rent hike at a city-owned senior apartment complex in Eagle Rock after an outcry from tenants. The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles said rents will be raised 3% instead of 6% at the Reflections at Yosemite complex on Yosemite Drive. HACLA
  • Caltrans plans to shut down the 101 Freeway in both directions from Echo Park to Hollywood for five nights next week to install electronic traffic detectors. A nearly five-mile section of the freeway from Cahuenga to Glendale boulevards will be shut down from midnight to 5 a.m. on Sunday through Wednesday. Curbed L.A
