Collision took place near San Fernando Road and Loosemore Street

CYPRESS PARK — A female pedestrian was killed early Thursday morning after she was struck by two vehicles on San Fernando Road north of Loosemore Street, the LAPD said.  The driver of the primary vehicle involved in the collision left the scene but the other motorist remained at the site.

The woman was walking across San Fernando outside of the crosswalk at about 2:15 a.m. when she when she was struck by the two vehicles traveling northbound. The victim was transported to a hospital where she died of her injuries.

The hit and run vehicle is described as white box truck.

Anyone with information about this collision is asked to contact LAPD Central Traffic Division Detective Meneses or Officer Yamamoto at (213) 833-3713.   1. So sorry for the woman’s family. I hope someone comes forward with information on where to find the driver who left the scene. Thank you to the driver who stayed.

  2. It’s criminal that when they built the fence on the west side of San Fernando Rd they left no room for a sidewalk or other non motorized transportation.

  3. This was my niece who was struck, the one who did not leave the seen was a co-worker of mine. He didn’t even know it was my niece. He went to work on Sunday and told me what happened, and I asked the the girl looked like, and told him it sounds like my niece, had her dad call the number above and found out it was her.
