Lincoln Heights apartment fire leaves man in grave condition


LINCOLN HEIGHTS —  A 30-year-old man was in  grave condition after a fire broke out in an apartment building in the 1900 block of North Broadway this morning.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to put out the blaze, which was reported at about 8:19 a.m., the L.A. Fire Department said on Twitter. The fire began in a first-floor apartment and spread to the space between the floors, according to LAFD.

Arson investigators have been called in to investigate.
