Blessing of the Animals Oct 2 at 5 Echo Park Boathouse

Sponsored Post

Each year Episcopal Churches offer a blessing of the animals, in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, whose saint’s day falls on Oct. 4. St. Francis re-awakened the church and the world to the fact that God created and blesses all creatures on earth. Blessing animals is an effort to express this. St.

Athanasius Episcopal Church will be blessing animals on Sunday, October 2 at 5:00 pm near the Boat House in Echo Park, across the street from our church, located at 840 Echo Park Ave. Bring your cat, dog, bird, reptile, rabbit, or any other animal to be blessed that day. All are welcome. For further information contact Father Frank Alton at (213) 482-2040 ext. 201.
