Echo Park botanica mixes potions and presidential politics

ECHO PARK — Will Donald Trump be elected President?  Forget about the polls and political pundits. When it comes to finding the answer, some Latinos are heading to botanicas across Los Angeles for some supernatural insights, says the L.A. Times. In Echo Park,  for example, Yosmar, the man behind Botanica Yosmar on Sunset Boulevard, says the subject of El Tromp has been coming up every week.

Not only do some of his customers want insights into the election’s outcome, a few have asked Yosmar if he could use his powers to help Trump in his campaign against Hillary Clinton. Not going to happen, said Yosmar, who is from El Salvador.

“I wouldn’t help,”is what Yosmar tells them,  according to the Times. “No matter how much you pay me.”
