  • A 45-year-old man was injured during an early morning shooting in the 100 block of Pecan Street in Boyle Heights. The suspect or suspects remain at large. Daily News
  • Hospital test results say that students at Micheltorena Elementary in Silver Lake got sick after eating toxic mushrooms given to them at the community garden on campus. One mother  said her daughter became ill after eating only a small portion of a mushroom given to her by a worker that guided students through the garden. “She says the guy in the garden gave her a little piece and she ate just a little because she doesn’t like mushrooms.” ABC 7
