Starbucks in the works for Hyperion Avenue

Starbucks planned for the ground floor of the building next to Gelson’s

Storefront ReportLOS FELIZ — Apparently there can’t be too many Starbucks.  The city has issued building permits for a new Starbucks in the Gelson’s shopping center at Hyperion Avenue and Griffith Park Boulevard.

The Starbucks would be located in a former Chinese restaurant on the ground floor of a two-story building that includes several businesses. The new coffee store would have an outdoor patio as well as indoor seating, according to online city permit information.

No word yet on when the Starbucks will open.

Construction on the new store takes place as the entire shopping center gets a makeover and the Gelson’s completes an extensive renovation.
