Steam train chugging through; Kamala Harris and Loretta Sanchez to debate at Cal State L.A.

  • The first steam locomotive to travel north of Union Station in more than 20 years is scheduled to pass through Atwater Village, Cypress Park, Glassell Park and Lincoln Heights tonight. The restored Santa Fe 3751, built in 1927, will ride on the Metrolink/Southern Pacific tracks on its way to Acton. San Bernardino Rail Historical Society
  • Cal State L.A. in El Sereno will host the only scheduled debate in the U.S. Senate race between California Attorney General Kamala Harris and Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez. The debate, which will be  broadcast on KABC and live streamed on the college’s website, will be held on Wednesday. Oct. 5 from 7 pm – 8 pm. Cal State L.A.
