  • An estimated 2,000 L.A. DWP customers in East Hollywood are without power this morning in the wake of rainy weather, according to the agency. “Some of the most frequent causes of power outages during rain storms are dried palm fronds, tree branches and other debris that fall and make contact with power lines,” said an L.A. DWP update. “This is particularly true with the first rain after an extended period of time.” Crews are working to make repairs.
