Shopper & Diner: Intelligentsia returns; Moby sings Silver Lake restaurant blues; hi to Honey Hi in Echo Park

Intelligentsia is back in business after shutting down for a few weeks due to a remodel, Eater LA reports. The space itself almost looks the same, with the exception of a less cluttered look – with brighter tile, an uplifted sheen and other subtleties. Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea is located in the 3900 block of Sunset Boulevard in Silver Lake.

In other Shopper & Diner News:

  • After just a few months of its opening, Alimentari has temporarily closed, Eater LA reports. A sign on the Italian shop’s window states that it will be closed for renovations. It’s hard to tell what’s going on in there, considering the windows have been papered over. Alimentari is located in the 2800 block of Sunset in Silver Lake.
  • Echo Park says hello to Honey Hi, Eater LA reports. The small  spot is geared for healthy eats such as vegetarian bowls, gluten-free tartines, bone broth and coffee. Honey Hi is located in the 1600 block of Sunset Boulevard in Echo Park.
  • Moby talks about the demands of running his restaurant, Little Pine, on the website Grub Street. In the story, Moby writes, “I don’t know why any sane person would think about opening a restaurant,” and, “When I hear people say that they want to open a restaurant, I want to stage an intervention.” Little Pine is located in the 2800 block of Rowena Avenue in Silver Lake.
