Highland Park Bowl was named Eater LA’s Most Beautiful Restaurant of the Year. The “Stunning Masterwork of Preservation” was restored to its old bowling glory and opened last spring. Highland Park Bowl is located in the 5000 block of N. Figueroa in Highland Park.

The bagels go through a fermentation process that take 48 hours and are hand-rolled by co-owner Nick Schreiber. Get there early in the a.m. – the bagels sell out quickly. Belle’s Bagels is located at 5000 block of York Boulevard in Highland Park.
  • Three Eastside eateries made Los Angeles Magazine’s best breakfast burrito list. La Azteca was mentioned for its carne asada, eggs and refried beans burrito wrapped in a flaky flour tortilla. Tacos Villa Corona’s spicy chilaquiles burrito also received a nod. Try a burrito stuffed with French fries at CaCao Mexicatessen. It comes with your choice of bacon, sausage, carne asada, machaca or sautéed veggies. La Azteca Tortilleria is located in the 4500 block of Cesar E. Chavez Avenue in East Los Angeles. Tacos Villa Corona is located in the 3100 block of Glendale Boulevard in Atwater Village. CaCao Mexicatessen is located in the 1500 block of Colorado Boulevard in Eagle Rock.
