  • An exhibit on the Jewish and multi-cultural history of Boyle Heights  marks the naming of UCLA’s Jewish studies program in honor of  Alan D. Leve, who grew up in Boyle Heights and donated $5 million to fund endowments for the Alan D. Leve Center for Jewish Studies. The exhibition ends Wednesday. Daily Bruin

  • The city is relaxing parking enforcement today within a block of polling places. Street cleaning and permit-parking restrictions won’t be enforced and parking will be free at meters. But you will get a ticket for parking in front of fire hydrants and blocking driveways. L.A. Times
