Woman injured after tree falls on Eagle Rock home [updated]

EAGLE ROCK — An elderly woman was transported to a hospital after a large oak tree from a neighboring property fell on a rear house in the 1700 block of Campus Road, the L.A. Fire Department said on Twitter.

The woman sustained a non-life threatening injury to her arm, according to the LAFD. Though it had been raining and windy, it’s not clear why the tree collapsed at about 11 am.

Update: KTLA identified the victim as a 92-year-old woman was sleeping in her bedroom when the tree came crashing down.
