Riot LA Comedy Festival is back in Downtown Los Angeles on January 19 – 22! Joining the incredible Mel Brooks, Ali Wong (who has sold out SIX performances at the Theater at Ace Hotel!), Felipe Esparza, and Dr. Katz Live! will be some of the top stand-up comedians in the world, including Kyle Kinane, Eugene Mirman, Rachel Bloom, Whitney Cummings, Adam Devine, Anthony Jeselnik, Todd Barry, Nikki Glaser, Maria Bamford, Tig Notaro, Tommy Johnagin, Rory Scovel, Beth Stelling, Aparna Nancherla, John Early, and many more!

Dr. Katz Live is a stage variation of the animated show, “Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist,” created by Jonathan Katz and Tom Snyder for Comedy Central. It premiered twenty years ago in May of 1995, earning the network its first Emmy and Peabody awards and introducing the term “squigglevision” to the English language. The show has rightfully gone on to become a cult classic.

The live version (much like the cartoon version) of Dr. Katz, brings well-known standups to the good doctor’s couch, using the quirks and idiosyncrasies of their comedy acts to analyze their various conflicted issues.

This Dr. Katz Live performance features Tig Notaro, Laura Silverman, Maria Bamford, Thomas Middleditch, Davin Wain, and Bob Saget.

Tig Notaro is currently writing, producing and starring in the semi-autobiographical comedy series, One Mississippi for Amazon Studios, where she can also be seen in her recurring role as “Barb,” on the Jill Soloway series Transparent. Her eagerly anticipated memoir, I’m Just A Person is due out June of 2016 through Harper Collins Publishing, with a national book tour to follow. Both Tig’s HBO stand-up special Boyish Girl Interrupted and the Netflix Original Documentary simply entitled, TIG premiered to critical acclaim and are available for streaming.

Maria Bamford is the creator and star of Maria Bamford: the special special special and of the cult hit web series The Maria Bamford Show, which screened at the Museum of Art and Design. She is the first female comic to have two half-hour Comedy Central Presents specials and starred alongside Patton Oswalt, Zach Galifianakis and Brian Posehn in the Comedy Central series The Comedians of Comedy and Netflix’s Comedians of Comedy: The Movie.

Yes, Bob Saget has starred in many successful television shows, including two of the most family-friendly shows network TV has ever produced (“Full House” and “Americas Funniest Home Videos”) but he’s also an out of his mind, Grammy-nominated standup comedian for over thirty years. From his HBO special “That Ain’t Right” to his scene-stealing cameos in “Entourage,” and “The Aristocrats,” it’s always effective as Saget embraces his dark side.

All tickets include admission to the Riot LA Super Deluxe Lot, featuring carnival rides, arcade games, food trucks + more!  Go to Dr. Katz Live! for ticket info and details.
