Eagle Rock Brewery is creating a buzz with its seven-year anniversary celebration on Saturday, Jan. 21. The brewery’s parking lot is turning into a carnival, complete with a dunk tank, pie throwing booth, giant Jenga, corn hole and more. A special anniversary beer named La Suerte, a 14% imperial Mexican stout brewed with chocolate, vanilla, flaked maize, cinnamon and chile, will also be introduced. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at party.eaglerockbrewery.com.

- Reform School is out of the Sunset Junction zone in Silver Lake and has moved to Highland Park under the name of Sonomama, according to its website. Sonomama is located in the 5700 block of Figueroa Street in Highland Park.
- Wolfdown takes over the old Nicky D’s space in Silver Lake, Eater LA reports. The Asian-inspired menu offers dishes such as stir-fried ramen with crab and uni, Korean fried chicken and pork shoulder kare kare. Wolfdown is located in the 2700 block of Rowena Avenue in Silver Lake.
- Two Eastside eateries received a mention from Leslie Bargar Suter, Food Editor of Los Angeles Magazine, in her list of favorite 10 dishes in LA. She recommends trying the three-cup chicken at Pine & Crane and the crispy rice salad at Sqirl. Pine and Crane is located in the 1500 block of Griffth Park Boulevard. Sqirl is located in the 700 block of Virgil Avenue. Both eateries are located in Silver Lake.
