Suspect arrested in Los Feliz gas station killing; police chase ends in East L.A.

  • Kayshon Moody, 25, was arrested in connection with last week’s fatal shooting of a 34-year-old gas station clerk in Los Feliz. Police said the clerk was cooperating with the robber when he was shot in the abdomen. L.A. Times
  • A high-speed pursuit that began in the Angeles National Forest ended in East Los Angeles, where the suspects were apprehended after a crash with a parked vehicle and a foot-chase. ABC7
  • The charter school organization that operates L.A. Celerity Troika Charter School in Eagle Rock was raided by federal agents. Last October, the L.A. school board voted against renewing the charter of L.A. Celerity Troika  over governance and management issues. L.A. Times
  • The City Council approved paying for any cost overruns if the city is selected to host the 2024 Olympics. International Olympic Committee is scheduled to decide in September whether Budapest, Los Angeles or Paris will host the 2024 games. KPCC
