MOrning Report

  • Are you a fan of the 1997 film Jerry Maguire? Then plan to make a stop at the Jerry Maguire Video Store, a temporary art installation stocked entirely with Jerry Maguire videos. The videos, more than 14,000 have been collected so far, will eventually be stored in a pyramid the Everything Is Terrible! (EIT!) art collective plans to eventually build in the desert. Why? “EIT! intends it to be a comment on American culture, consumerism and waste, as well as a place where all the poor discarded Jerrys can live in peace.” Los Feliz Ledger
  • An East L.A. resident and comic book store owner is planning the community’s first ever comic book convention. L.A. Weekly

  1. Aside from the stories above, I’d love to know who’s doing all of the black cat graffiti around town. Amazing stuff – a cat for every type of situation. There’s even a magician turning black cats into technicolor cats on Beverly at Kings Road. There were a bunch of these cats in Paris, Barcelona and other European locations. I wonder if it’s the same guy, or a team of people? Bravo.
