Bulletin Board: Support the EPIA with pizza at Mohawk Bend all month

Submitted by the Echo Park Improvement Association

Through the entire month of February, Mohawk Bend is donating a portion of each Piece of the Pie to the Echo Park Improvement Association, and we are THRILLED!

Appropriately called “The EPIA Pizza,” each ingredient on the pizza spells out a letter of our organization: Eggs, Proscuitto, Idiazabal (cheese) and Arugula (there’s also Mozzarella, olive oil and lemon juice). A breakfast style pizza, The EPIA Pizza is not only delicious – it’s for a good cause!

Throughout February, $4 from each purchase of this pizza goes to the EPIA to help us cover a variety of costs, including outreach materials, neighborhood cleanups, printing, website fees, digital promotions and more. Some of the programs we work on each year include:
– Sponsoring the free Echo Park Lake summer movie series
– Hosting the Echo Park Community Parade VIP reception in December
– Organizing cleanups in the neighborhood
– Hosting open town halls each month

Our Neighborhood Issues Committee meets each month to discuss major projects in the Echo Park community, including the SR2 Terminus, housing developments, Echo Park Lake and Elysian Park issues – and more.
