HIGHLAND PARK —  Four elderly persons were injured when they were struck by a vehicle at an ARCO gas station this morning, according to the L.A. Fire Department.

The four pedestrians, who sustained non-life threatening injuries, were transported to a hospital for treatment, said LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey.  The motorist was not injured, he said.

The crash, which was reported shortly before 10 am, took place on the grounds of gas station at the northwest corner of Figueroa Street and Avenue 45, Humphrey said.  No information was available about what caused the collision.
