  1. Wasn’t their a shooting/murder in that area in December and now another shooting? WTF there are schools in the area and kids. I wish the neighborhood gentrification would keep all the people who just want to go about their lives and bus all the low life thugs somewhere to the middle of Death Valley!

    • Hey internet. If you’re looking for one of the 26 some odd people in hlp who voted for trump, here ya go.

      • Did I say bus out poor people or minorities? Grow up. My kid goes to school in the area and I prefer they not get shot by a stray bullet over some petty thug BS. Obviously you got some issues if you think it’s okay for people to shoot and murder people right next to a school.

        • Totally. Because the only way you stop have violence is by shipping out the brown people we don’t like.

          • Interesting perspective…doesn’t sound like you actually read Mad Parents’ comment – So are you against eliminating gang violence or do you condone it as an “inconvenient” side-effect of living in Highland Park?

Prayers for the victim. I am heartbroken over the bloodshed in my hometown.
    When will it end?

    • You’re only allowed to go to war if you’re the government. Lol.

      • Yup, and it’s probably better that way if as a country, we are going to continue experiencing economic prosperity and many of the freedoms enjoyed in this country (such as your ability to criticize the government in a passive-aggressive way without someone breaking down your door and throwing you in jail 😉

You might want to pick up a copy of the book, “Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity, and Poverty.” I think it will help bring some balance to your cynical view of society.
