- Councilman Mitch O’Farrell failed to appear at a Monday night candidate forum for those running in the Council District 13 race, L.A. Times reporter Emily Alpert Reyes said on Twitter. A member of the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council, which was one of the sponsors of the forum, told the audience that O’Farrell had a conflict. That met with “lots of boos” from the crowd. The election will be held on March 7.
