ATWATER VILLAGE — Tarzana’s Wanderlust Creamery will soon be serving its specialty ice cream in Atwater Village, Eater LA reports. Expected to open by the end of the month, the Glendale Boulevard location will be Wanderlust’s second shop.
True to the store’s name, the theme behind the ice cream flavors is travel. According to their web site, “Each of our artisanal ice cream flavors are inspired by places we’ve been and places we want to travel to.”
For example, a flavor inspired by the Pacific northwest is “Smoky Road” — sort of a rocky road with alderwood smoked sea salt. A flavor inspired by the owners’ Filipino-American upbringing is ube malted crunch, with sweet purple yam.
The new Wanderlust Creamery will be located in the 3100 block of Glendale Boulevard in Atwater Village.
