Bank robbed in Atwater Village


ATWATER VILLAGE — A bank was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money on Friday afternoon, though the robber reportedly did not show a weapon, according to Northeast Division LAPD.

Police said a man walked into 3355 Glendale Blvd., the location of Union Bank, at around 2 p.m. and and showed the teller a note demanding money.

The teller handed over the money, and the robber fled, going eastbound on Glendale, then northbound on Boyce. No one was hurt.

The robber was described as either a Latino or light-skinned African-American man wearing a checkered shirt.
