Time To Decide: Voters head to the polls today in L.A. city elections

With mail boxes overflowing with campaign mailers, voters in the City of Los Angeles head to the polls today, Tuesday, March 7,  to cast their ballots in the primary election. On the Eastside, voters will decide who represents City Council districts 1 and 13 as well as the District 2 school board seat. Mayor Eric Garcetti is also up for reelection, and the fates of Measure S, which would impose restrictions on certain types of development, and Measure HHH, a countywide, sale-tax to support homeless services, also hang in the balance.

Now’s a good time to double check your sample ballot and voter information pamphlet to find out where your polling place is located.

Visit The Eastsiders 2017 Election Guide for information on the Council District 1 and 13 races and to find out where the candidates stand on real estate development and affordable housing, homelessness and traffic and safety.
