  • A 24-year-old man sustained non-life threatening injuries after his vehicle drove off the road and down a hillside in the 4000 block of San Rafael Drive on Sunday night. LAFD
  • A $1.6 million Boyle Heights real estate listing has raised eyebrows and attracted criticism as a symbol of neighborhood gentrification, reports Boyle Heights Beat. The real estate agent representing the owner of the 19th Century property on East First Street said apartments in the six-unit building “have been fully renovated inside and out by people well schooled in how to appeal to the Millennials who are invading Boyle Heights in droves.”
  • A Silver Lake resident resident said dog owners walking their pets along Silver Ridge Avenue should watch out for a large coyote. “I was walking my 50lb dog on leash this morning when a large coyote snuck up behind us and tried to nip my dog. I spoke to a few neighbors in the area and this recently happened to at least two other dogs.”
