SILVER LAKE — The dining neighborhood dining scene is awaiting the opening of Mixed Company, which Eater LA calls possibly Silver Lake’s most ambitious new restaurant.
The 2,700-square-foot space, which formerly held the Sunset Coin-Op Laundry, has been under development for about two years – and is finally slated to open this month, says Eater. It’s expected to seat 120 people, and is scheduled to run all day – breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus brunch on weekends. Mixed Company has been described as a “casual modern Middle Eastern restaurant” but there’s no word yet on what exactly will be on the menu.
The ownership group includes Charlie Conrad, owner of the Black Cat, which is right next door. But Mixed Company will be much larger than Black Cat and will include an open kitchen, bar and and a patio dining room. A large mural comprised of numerous colors and shapes is already grabbing attention. .
Mixed Company is located in the 3900 block of Sunset Boulevard in Silver Lake.
