Car causes minor damage after smashing into Silver Lake 365 Whole Foods store

Damaged 365 Store | Martha E. Flores

SILVER LAKE —   A car smashed into the front of the 365 by Whole Foods Store on Glendale Boulevard, breaking windows and outdoor tables but causing no injuries.

“There was a minor accident in front of the store on Monday evening,” said company spokeswoman Janette Rizk. “Thankfully no one was injured and we are working to repair the damage over the next few days.”

A store employee told an Eastsider reader that the vehicle came crashing through near closing time by the express checkout aisle, which had closed before the collision.

The crash took place about one year after Whole Foods opened the 365 Silver Lake store, the first in the chain.

  1. Insert obligatory drive-through joke here.

  2. I bet those two clowns who direct traffic were signaling the driver to keep going. That’s all they do…move they’re hands back and forth without even looking. They are useless.
