El Sereno carjacking suspect arrested after police pursuit


EL SERENO — A Saturday night carjacking led police into a pursuit that ended in Boyle Heights, with one person being arrested.

Hollenbeck Division police say the carjacking occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. in the 5100 block of Huntington Drive.

Officers stayed in the area until they spotted the car, then pursued it down to the 1500 block of Ricardo Street in Boyle Heights – about three miles from the original theft. One male was arrested.

No one was hurt in the carjacking.
