Morning Report

  • A man with a gunshot wound showed up at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena early this morning and said he had been shot on Echo Street in Highland Park,  said Sgt. Douglas Bowler with LAPD Northeast Division.  Gang officers went back to the scene and found no evidence of a shooting. They are convinced the shooting didn’t happen there, said Bowler. The victim said the suspects that shot him were two male Latinos in a black Honda.
  • Firefighters extinguished a blaze that broke out this morning on a wooden stairway on the side of an apartment building in the 200 block of S. Avenue 50.  No injuries were reported. LAFD
