Streets blocked as police seek possible shooter in Boyle Heights

BOYLE HEIGHTS — Streets around the area of N. Mathews Street and E. Cesar Chavez Avenue are currently blocked off as police search for a man who may be armed with a gun.

Hollenbeck Police say they first received a call of a possible shooter at 7:52 a.m. this morning. There are no known victims at this time.

Police dogs are being used to search the area.

LAPD advises that traffic is blocked for about two or three blocks in every direction of the search area, including Cesar Chavez at Soto Street.
