Bulletin Board: Family Friendly Kitchen Prep Day

Submitted by L.A. Kitchen

This summer L.A. Kitchen is launching Family Friendly Kitchen Prep Days inviting families to spend the afternoon with the L.A. Kitchen Team for a kitchen prep volunteer session. L.A. Kitchen’s new Family program is designed to bring people of all generations together to have fun, learn about local fruits and veggies and help fellow Angelenos.

Every generation counts (& cooks) at L.A. Kitchen, so we offer a hands-on kitchen prep experience for those from the ages of 7 – 13 years old. Adults are also required to take part.
A donation of $5.00 for up to two children (supervised by an adult) includes activities like Tater Tats (fruit & veggie-themed temporary tattoos), arts and crafts using “ugly” veggies, and more! Adults are required to participate. Adults come for free!

Please make sure to wear closed toe shoes, long pants and short-sleeve shirts (no tank tops) for kitchen safety.
All registration links are available through our website calendar. Can’t make it? Check out our calendar for another day! http://www.lakitchen.org/summer-events/
