Mh Zh has captured the Israeli café vibe, according to the LA Weekly. Initially, the long wait, “rickety tables and chairs,” and “painfully Silver Lake-ian crowd” struck a nerve with restaurant reviewer Besha Rodell. But after paying for dishes, such as the potatoes with charred lemon and a lamb “ragooooo” at a bargain price, it was well worth the wait. Mh Zh is located in the 3500 block of Sunset Boulevard in Silver Lake.

In other Shopper & Diner News:

  • Echo Park is getting kinky with the coming of The Stockroom/Syren Retail Boutique. The “kink gear” shop moved a few blocks east, from Silver Lake to Echo Park, due to a sale of its previous location, which is being converted into creative office spaces. The Stockroom/Syren Retail Boutique is located in the 2100 block of Sunset Boulevard.
  • Posto Giusto has arrived in Eagle Rock, Eater LA reports. The team behind Blair’s in Silver Lake is behind the eatery that lands somewhere in between fast casual and sit-down. Expect beer, wine, pastas and meatballs. Posto Guisto is located in the 1900 block of Colorado Boulevard in Eagle Rock.

  1. I wish The Stockroom/Syren Retail Boutique, aka sex shop, had stayed in Silver Lake, or would simply operate online.

    • Agreed! Seems especially inappropriate to have a store like this less than a block away from an elementary school. I’m surprised there hasn’t been more neighborhood backlash.
