Fire shuts down Eagle Rock offramp; new car share program coming to Echo Park

  • The Colorado Boulevard exit off the northbound 2 Freeway in Eagle Rock was shut down for about half an hour on Thursday after a small brush fire broke out near 2800 block of West El Roble Drive. Patch
  • A new car share plan to help Los Angeles meet its clean air goals will include Echo Park in its pilot program, according to Auto Rental News. Eventually, the service is supposed to bring 100 electric cars and 200 chargers to self-service stations across the city.
