ECHO PARK — The organizers of Echo Park Rising today announced the lineup of next month’s three-day festival that will include more than 100 acts — including Alice Bag, Boogaloo Assassins and Surf Curse — as well as some new venues. Festival organizers expect at least 5,000 visitors a day to listen to live music and attend other events across the neighborhood.
The huge line up — “Too Many Bands to List,” says an event flyer — features bands and performers that primarily hail from the Eastside, say organizers. In addition to live music, Echo Park Rising will also include comedy, activities and entertainment for kids, “hipster crafts” and art displays and opening receptions. Many neighborhood shops and businesses will also be hosting special events and offering discounts.
