Fire engulfs Mount Washington home

MOUNT WASHINGTON –– Firefighters this afternoon quickly put out a fire that broke out in a two-story home in the 600 block of W. Pheasant Drive.

The house was “fully involved” in flames when firefighters responded to the blaze, which was reported shortly after 3 pm., the L.A. Fire Department said on Twitter.

It took more than 80 firefighters about 30 minutes to put out the blaze.  There were no reports of injuries.

LAFD said the house was believed to be vacant.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
