Morning Report

  • There are more postal problems in Glassell Park. Postal inspectors are asking the public to help identify a woman suspected of breaking into mailboxes multiple times at the same Eagle Rock Boulevard apartment complex in Glassell Park, reports CBS2.   News of the mail thefts comes as the postal service has stopped delivering mail to a Glassell Park street after one of its carriers was nearly hit by gunfire.
  • About 40 demonstrators staged a protest at the East L.A. sheriff’s station to put pressure on the department to support the so called “sanctuary bill” to limit cooperation with federal immigration agents. County Sheriff Jim McDonnell said that Senate Bill 54  would interfere with the transfer of county jail prisoners to federal custody. L.A. Times
