Body found near L.A. river in Cypress Park
CYPRESS PARK — The body of a man was found near Avenue 19 and Figueroa Street early this morning by the L.A. River, police said.

Police were called to the scene at about 2:40 a.m., said Officer Rosario Herrera with LAPD Media Relations. The death is not considered a homicide, she said.

Herrera had no further information about the man or whether he was found in or near the river channel.
