Pedestrian killed in Atwater Village after being struck by train

ATWATER VILLAGE — A pedestrian was killed this morning after being struck by a Metrolink train, according to the L.A. Fire Department.

The collision took place shortly before noon near the 3000 block of Casitas Avenue and the 2 Freeway. No passengers or crew were injured on the train headed southbound to Union Station.

LAFD did not have information about the victim’s age or gender immediately available.

Metrolink has temporarily halted service between Glendale and Union stations.

The man hit train was homeless Indian man always on freeway off ramp he lived in cat hole in la river I can’t say I new hisname because I never asked but we always talked I snuck up on him he always had smile that last time I seen him I smile then I felt feed up giving up change or cash because I felt he didn’t deserve it because I need it I never say no this time I felt guilty I feel guilty because I always give but I had no money 1 dollar i wear India shirt women he started to cry he was alone sad I broke my heart that he alone when you underinflunce you end up tripping on what out there because I was doing that same thing 2 seconds I stuck my whole body back trainconducter was on front he never honk and I was so lucky God was with me story is about why are drunks drug user on train tracks
