Brush fire breaks out near Elysian Park [updated]

A plume of smoke has been seen rising this morning near Elysian Park. The Eastsider will be checking with LAFD for more details.

UPDATE: The L.A. Fire Department said two engine companies have been dispatched to put out a 1/4-acre fire that is burning in heavy to medium brush. The fire is burning on the north side of Elysian Park near the 5 Freeway, according to preliminary information. But one reader said the smoke appears to be rising near the 110 Freeway.
